Our Method
Helping students excel in
piano & music education
Our curriculum encompasses an extensive range of musical genres including classical, popular, modern, jazz, and more. Beyond piano, we specialize in singing, and also offer lessons in guitar and violin. Students are immersed in a comprehensive musical education, exploring composition, improvisation, theory, sight reading, performance, and advanced piano techniques.
This diverse training prepares our students for success in various prestigious competitions and auditions, such as the U.S. Open Music Competition, MTAC Panel, and the Music Teachers National Association. It's this broad exposure to different musical styles and disciplines that sets our students apart.

Performance and Beyond
Performance is a cornerstone of our teaching method, providing students with invaluable life skills. Through our annual recitals, students learn to share their talents confidently and elegantly on stage, embracing their artistic presence. These experiences are more than performances; they are essential life lessons in presentation, self-confidence, and artistic expression. The skills gained extend far beyond music, aiding personal growth in all areas of life.
Shilla Hekmat, often referred to as 'the piano whisperer,' has a unique ability to connect deeply with her students. This connection helps them to believe in themselves and to push beyond their perceived limits.

Lessons take place in the local Beverly Hills neighborhood at one of our two house locations. We also offer virtual lessons as we recognize that our students have very busy schedules, and we want to give everyone the chance to practice when it’s most convenient for them.
